The client’s home before improvement:
|
|

|
This house was built around 1900 on the 2+1 bedroom model
which was quite common then. The 3rd bedroom had already been
converted to a bathroom, but to get to it you had to walk
through the 2nd bedroom. On the side of the house a garage
had been built with a bedroom above it. The accommodation
therefore existing prior to development was 3 bedrooms (one
of which you had to walk through to get to the bathroom),
2 reception rooms, kitchen, a cellar, a rather rickety conservatory,
and a garage.
|
• A separate family bathroom
• 4 rentable rooms
• To also convert the garage into a room
• An improvement to the outer appearance of the house
• Off- street parking

and what they thought about it ...
|
|
"This is a really neat solution. The master stroke was to create a separate apartment with its own utility room and bathroom in the Cellar. Oh, and the skylight to the upper hall is a bit of a wow factor where before it was really dull."
